We welcome the Lone Strøyberg Scholar

Introducing:

The POP5 team is excited to welcome and support Anne Vejerslev Mikkelsen as the 2022/23 Lone Stroyberg Scholar.

The foundation has generously offered and provided a fully funded scholar to be part of the Danish-UK Association community in which we are proud members.

A warm welcome the to Lone Strøyberg Scholar. We are excited to give them the opportunity to gather sustainability experience.

Sustainability in Entrepreneurship

As of September 1st, we are excited to welcome Anne Vejerslev Mikkelsen to her new role as a scholar under the theme “Sustainability in Entrepreneurship”.

Lead by The Danish-UK Associations and in partnership with the Danish Embassy in London, the Planet One Point Five team is excited to support this opportunity for a young talent.

Anne’s role will be to foster knowledge sharing around sustainability as she connects the Danish Network in the United Kingdom on this agenda.

Planet One Point Five has, together with the Danish-UK Association, established the Net Positive roundtable, bringing together senior leaders representing several corporate members, including Danfoss, Novo Nordisk, Trifork, Coloplast and Danske Bank.

Anne will help to facilitate and deliver meaningful discussions and build a common understanding around best practice for sustainability and benefits this can bring.

We are excited to give Anne the opportunity to gather experience by joining our team in various day-to-day tasks and events where it is bringing value to her and the leading thought behind the Lone Strøjberg scholarship.

We warmly welcome Anne and are looking forward to support her on this very important journey.

The aim of the scholarship is to provide vital knowledge, experience, and a unique high-level network to a young entrepreneurial Dane who in turn can support, maintain, and grow the commercial relationship between Denmark and the UK.

The scholarship was established in 2015 in memory of Lone Strøyberg, the first Managing Director of the Danish-UK Chamber of Commerce, now the Danish-UK Association, to provide work experience for students with the Association and its members.

LSS has secured funding and support from Danish foundations incl Det Obelske Familiefond, Otto Mønsteds Fond, Vilhelm Kiers Fond and individual donors, to sponsor two Danish students consecutively over two years. The LSS welcomes any interest to support and fund future candidates.
